Sci-if and Me

It's just about me and the programmes I like to watch, which all tend to be Sci-if, hence the name "Sci-if and Me"

So much work, so little time.

Tomorrow I start my new job at the cinema. But first I need to make sure I know what I am doing for one of my projects by tomorrow, but I need sleep.

Also, by the end of this week I have to get the book cover finished for a friend to publish his book.
(I'll see if I can show the pictures of the work I have done on it at some point).

hmmm...night!

Random stuff in the early hours of Saturday.

What is with me and posting on here in the early hours of the morning!?

Well, anyway, as I said "Random Stuff":
  1. I have noticed I haven't been keeping up to my promises on the internet, but I do hope to complete them soon...I get distracted easy, so it can sometimes take a while.
  2. I have happy news! - I have a job! Yay!
  3. ...I don't know what the third would be...Oh well!
So this is a nice short one...So I'll add a picture just to make it look more interesting.

The picture is me pretending to have my own Q&A...nar, really I was just mucking about on stage between two Q&As at DJ XIII because I was bored and my camcorder was charging up. ...The picture was taken on the Saturday, so I was happy with no hangover at that time.

Weird dream.

I tend to have many weird dreams, but I'm just woken up from a nap I finished have just a few minutes ago.

I seemed to be jumping dreams as if I had stumbled across someone else's dream because in one of the dreams I'm not too sure it was my own. I heard music that I had never heard before and then David Hewlett sat down with our little group (people I don't remember) and started singing to the song that had just played and then the music came up as backing with crowd chanting but with out crowd. Because I didn't know the words I pretended to play the drums with my hands, which was likely to look uncool to everyone there. The song seemed abit like an anthem of some kind and I've been told that no one was playing music while I was sleeping, so I don't know where the unknown music came from.

Then, another part of the dream I remember was all about some experiment where apparently they radiate rats, mice and ducks once a year at some lab to see what would happen. I was told that one year they had rats give birth to small grey mice. Near the end of that dream bit I was bitten by a talking rat that was pretending to be one of the radiated rats.

Also, earlier on in the dream I was trying to watch anime with friends, one of who I know as a friend and the other I'm not sure I had met, but they seemed always to hide in shadow so.

Well, that's most of what I remember of that. But I do have to say it's not the weirdest I've had.
I just thought I would share that with you.

Note: Oh! The picture is from the Sims. It's the first there being a bear in the Sims for me, so I thought to put it in.

What with me and late nights?

It is 2:38am and I am wondering why do I seem to post here during night time hours?

Today, after an interview at a cinema, I watch three films there:
Click
The Devil wears Prada
An Inconveinent Truth

I will review them at a later date for you.
That is all!

I've done a stupid thing

It's 7:18am in ...erm... I'm not sure what the weather is like at the moment due to the curtains being closed and too far away from me to look behind them. Plus, the shock of natual light might be too much to handle for the moment... Anyway, In England...rainy, sunny, cloudy, who knows?...I don't.

Anyway, the reason to why I have entitled this what I did...well, I've been playing The Sims all night through...Yes, yes, I'm not up to date! I don't have The Sims 2 because it doesn't work on my computer so I got The Sims and The Sims Hot Date instead. At least it's cheaper and I know how to play it.

Well, off to my normal rambling:
erm...hmmm....oh, shoot! I'm just too knacked to. I can bearly keep my eyes open....I should really....erm....something...errrr....sleep....and stop going to bed so late....it's just, I forget...like, to eat...I just forget now and then....I don't notice at all at times till someone tells me they haven't seen me come throught the kichen for food that day. I should write reminders for myself.
But don't worry it don't always happen with food...it normally just sleep, not that I get much if I go to bed at a normal sort of time.

Well, best get some shut eye!

It is past midnight and I'm doing laundry

Yes dear readers of my blog. I am a twit!
But it still doesn't stop me loving sci-fi.

Okay! Tonight I will talk about GalaxyQuest:
Now I first watched this film on a plane years ago and then a month later it came out at the cinemas, which confused abit. I wish I had gone to watch it at the cinema as well, but I was skint at the time.

Anyway, this film stars:
- Tim Allen (The man who play santa in the "Santa Clause" triogy and a man who can change in to a dog in the "Shaggy Dog". Please do not take these in to account before thinking of watching GalaxyQuest because if you do then you'll miss out on a great film. Mind you I like those other films, but some don't. I think I'm a child at heart.)
- Sigourney Weaver (From those cool "Aliens" films. In this she get to play some different, which is nice.)
- Alan Rickman (from so many films. Many will know him as Snape in the "Harry Potter" films. One of my friends has a massive crush on him)
- Tony Shalhoub ( from the tv series "Monk" in which he plays brilliant San Francisco detective with obsessive compulsive disorder)

Four main brilliant actors in a sci-fi comedy, which is by most seen at a sci-fi spoof, but it many ways it's also saying how cool sci-fi is. What would it be like if what a sci-fi programme turned out to be real? Which has also been a question that is asked in Stargate SG-1 afew times because there's afew episodes where they is a television show inside the programme based the stargate. *I've confused myself in that sentence*

Well, I best tell you what the film is about, so I'll quote what IMDb says because it saves me time and effort, and plus you get a better description that I could make at the moment because my eyes have gone funny:
Eighteen years after their sci-fi adventure show "Galaxy Quest" was cancelled, actors Jason Nesmith, Gwen DeMarco, Alexander Dane, Tommy Webber, and Fred Kwan are making apperances at sci-fi conventions and store openings in costume and character. They're wallowing in despair and at each other's throats until aliens known as Thermians arrive and, having mistook the show for fact and consequently modeling their entire culture around it, take them into space to save them from the genocidal General Sarris and his armada.

And that's it!
