Sci-if and Me
It's just about me and the programmes I like to watch, which all tend to be Sci-if, hence the name "Sci-if and Me"

I came on here to update, but I don't really know what to update about...ok. How about the new Doctor Who series. This is meant to be a blog about sci-if after all you know.
Alrighty then...series 3 and we have the lovely Miss Jones as the new companion for the Doctor.
Episode 1 was ok, but mind you I did miss the beginning of that one. Martha Jones is training to be a doctor when she encounters the Doctor running like a loon to get a tie or something (You see I missed that part, but it's referred to later in the show twice) and then again at the hospital she is training at. Suddenly the hospital is moved to the Moon by the 'space police' who are looking for an alien, this means trouble for the Doctor who manages to get Miss Jones caught up in helping him find the alien the police are looking for and also save his ass (and what a lovely ass it is...*cough*).
Of course they save the day and the police put the hospital back just in time to stop everyone in the hospital die from lack of air.
Due to the help Martha gave the Doctor he offers her a trip in the lovely blue box we know and love, but first he has to prove to travel in time and space, so he goes back in time to get a new tie. Then the adventure begins!
Episode 2 .... Well, I completely missed that episode, so I can't comment on it.
Episode 3: Seeing as Martha was given a trip back in time the doctor decided to extend the trip with going forward in time and back to New Earth. Martha was not to pleased to find he had been there before with his previous companion, but she has taken quite a shying to him.
Martha is kiddnaped and the Doctor goes in chase after her, in the process he comes across 'My Hero' who is a Cat, but many will remember him better as Dougal from 'Father Ted'.
Meanwhile, the Face of Boe has felt the Doctor's presence on the planet and wants to tell his serect before he dies and so sents Novice Hame to find him and bring him back. Which the Doctor is not to happy about because he wants to save Matha from a load of huge crabs (Macra) that are attacking the car she is in. Lucky he is able to do that from the control center the Face of Boe lives in, but at the price of the Face of Boe's life. Before he dies he says to the Doctor "You Are Not Alone".
Episode 4 and 5: I can't remember the reason for why the Doctor extended his 'Thank you' trip for this one...maybe it was an aploisy for allowing her to be kiddnaped, but that would be a werid way of doing it because they come up against the Daleks, who are in New York...the real New York not the New new new new new new etc new York.
Anyway, it's the four Daleks from the finial episode of the last series and they are trying to evole or at least one of them is till he is killed...I don't know what happens at the end because the recording I had of the two episodes cut off the end.
Well, I'll continue this later...I'm sorry but it's time for bed or I'm going to be really tired at work in the morning. Bye for now!

Donie Girl's birthday

*Ugh...Why did my alarm go off? So sleepy...Need more...zzzzzzzzzz.*
.

2 hours later
.

*Why didn't I wake up earlier!? I was needing to do some work...grrr to self!*
.

Anyway, I was no where near to being late, in fact I got the train before the one I was meant to get.
At least I had my Clarkson book to keep me entrained for the journey and the train stations. The trains were nice to me and were only 3 minutes late. *Ah, I'm lucky with trains*
When I arrived at Doncaster I when to the Ladies loos to find a 40 something woman washing up her cups and plates in the sinks...It was different, and a interesting way of being greeted to a town.
When waiting for Kristey to arrive I sat next to an automatic door that didn't open and many people walked straight into, which was quite amusing. I did tell some who did that it was broken before they were that near, but in the end I gave up and watched or read my book.
I was later collected by the birthday girl to go to her house to get ready, talk to her family and also marvel at her Craig Charles plastered room, which I was to sleep in.
The party was at the pub in a side room with karaoke and many of Kristey's friends already drinking. The girls out numbered the 5 lads. It was a very jolly night...Kristey's brother Mark was up for any song and her dad even did two too.
The Craig cake was a masterpiece, which the next day I got his elbow :D.
It was a great and strange day, but what do you expect from the birth date of Donie Girl!

So much work, so little time.
Tomorrow I start my new job at the cinema. But first I need to make sure I know what I am doing for one of my projects by tomorrow, but I need sleep.
Also, by the end of this week I have to get the book cover finished for a friend to publish his book.
(I'll see if I can show the pictures of the work I have done on it at some point).
hmmm...night!

Random stuff in the early hours of Saturday.

What is with me and posting on here in the early hours of the morning!?
Well, anyway, as I said "Random Stuff":
- I have noticed I haven't been keeping up to my promises on the internet, but I do hope to complete them soon...I get distracted easy, so it can sometimes take a while.
- I have happy news! - I have a job! Yay!
- ...I don't know what the third would be...Oh well!
The picture is me pretending to have my own Q&A...nar, really I was just mucking about on stage between two Q&As at DJ XIII because I was bored and my camcorder was charging up. ...The picture was taken on the Saturday, so I was happy with no hangover at that time.
